Most “college nights” in Houston are run by franchises — national party brands with campus accounts that say “founded by students, for students” and are run from an office in another state. Same DJ, same flyer, same room, different city.

Headliner is the opposite. It's run by Alexey Fedorov — a student at the University of Houston who spent the last few years throwing events in the Bay Area, putting hundreds of people through the door before moving to Texas.

The thesis is simple: the room is the product. We curate who's in it — students, founders, creatives, the people actually running campus — and we build nights where meeting them doesn't feel like networking. Parties worth leaving your place for, and rooms worth being early to.
